ABOUT US

Transforming Lives... One Person at a time

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Transformational Living Homes emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.

We here at TLH believe our homes work well for those who face the most complex challenges—men and women confronted with homelessness and who also have very low incomes and/or serious, persistent issues that may include substance use disorders (including alcoholism), or other challenges to stable housing.

TLH works in conjunction with various organizations to provide support services such as job training, life skills training, alcohol and substance use disorder treatment, community support services, educational programs, behavioral, mental health, and case management to our residents in need of assistance.

Transformational Living Homes (TLH) provides permanent supportive housing in a substance abuse free environment to adults facing challenges finding affordable living arrangements in the greater Long Beach, CA area. Our housing is open to everyone, especially members of marginalized communities, which includes persons returning from prison (re-entry) and LGBTQ+. Additionally TLH partners with social service agencies to provide accessible substance abuse treatment for our residents. Our goal is to provide a stable home environment to allow our residents to improve their quality of life, thereby strengthening our community.

No matter the circumstance everyone deserves a safe place to call home. TLH strives to decrease the number of homeless individuals in Long Beach.

We provide housing for adults who would otherwise continue to live on the streets or in their cars. Our goal is for our residents to gain the ability to successfully live independently, thereby strengthening the fabric of the Long Beach community. Clients receive assistance with obtaining services from county agencies or are referred to locally based substance abuse consulting and health care services and other agencies as need. With stable housing, our clients can reconnect with family, better their employment, and engage in personal growth.

Provides transitional housing to former inmates reentering our community and individuals from the all communities that are in alcohol and drug recovery.

Provides comprehensive support services by collaborating with an integrated network of community resources to provide a range of behavioral and mental health services, along with job and life skills training for their residents.

Empowers and equips the residents with the tools they need to succeed in becoming sober, (drug and alcohol free), productive, and self-sufficient citizens in our society.
